Following this year\u2019s legislative session, you now have to be at least 21 to buy a gun in Colorado. That doesn\u2019t affect the age to possess one, only to purchase them. That\u2019s one of 5 gun reforms Democratic lawmakers pushed through at the Capitol. The others include a new 3-day waiting period for those firearm purchases; a ban on so-called \u201cghost guns;\u201d expansion of the state\u2019s \u201cred flag\u201d law; and a repeal of the previous ban on gunfire victims suing the weapon\u2019s manufacturers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Also kicking in today\u2014 the state\u2019s new \u201cmove over\u201d law. It not only requires drivers to shift a lane away from emergency vehicles, but for any disabled car or truck on the side of a road.
